The crew walks the yard for toys, sprinklers and pets, sets the deck to the season's height, and lays down crisp light-and-dark stripes.

Driveway, walks, curb and beds are edged with a string trimmer held vertical, so every border looks razor-straight.

Chapter III · Trim

Hedges shaped flat and square.

Boxwood, holly and privet are clipped to line, clippings raked out of the beds and hauled away.

Chapter IV · Blow

Not a blade left behind.

Drive, walks, patio and porch are blown spotless. In fall, leaves are mulched into the lawn or hauled away.
